AI that explains the world out loud.
Helping blind and visually impaired people understand their surroundings through real-time audio descriptions.
SeeForMe uses AI and a camera to turn visual information into clear audio descriptions, giving blind and visually impaired users greater independence in everyday life.
In future we will move from an app to a piece of hardwear with the full capability describing the world around the blind user in real time. We aim to involve blind users in every step to ensure our product is as assistive as possible.
This button gives you the ability to follow our journey as well as give your opinion and make an impact for the blind and sight loss community.
Why this matters?
Over 2 million people in the UK live with sight loss, yet access to affordable, real-time visual assistance remains limited. Current solutions are expensive, complex, or not designed around real user needs.
Recent advances in AI now make it possible to deliver fast, accurate audio descriptions through everyday devices, creating a step change in accessibility.
SeeForMe is building a platform that is:
-
Affordable and scalable
-
Designed with blind users and charities
-
Deployable on smartphones today, with dedicated hardware planned
-
Suitable for partnerships with councils, charities, and healthcare organisations
Our goal is to create meaningful impact while building a sustainable, high-growth accessibility business.
Who we are?
CEO - Charlie Goddard
Personal message - I started this company because two of my grandmother’s siblings are fully blind due to hereditary causes. Seeing the daily challenges they face has had a lasting impact on me and motivated me to try to reduce those barriers.
Through the products we are building, I believe we can meaningfully improve quality of life not only for them, but for many of the nearly 400,000 blind people and over 2 million people living with sight loss in the UK.
CTO - Luca Sebego
Personal message - As a technologist, I’ve seen how powerful AI can be when it’s applied thoughtfully and responsibly. What drew me to this project was the opportunity to use technology to solve a real, human problem rather than build something abstract.
My focus is on creating systems that are reliable, secure, and genuinely useful in everyday life. By working closely with users and organisations, we aim to build technology that people can trust and depend on, not just impressive demonstrations.
