What we are building.

SeeForMe is an assistive technology startup developing an AI-powered mobile application to help blind and visually impaired people better understand their surroundings through real-time audio descriptions. We will later add hardware to support the app software independently.

We have completed the v1 version of our app to assist blind and visually impaired people to navigate the world and its hazards. We are now working with blind users and charities to design the next versions. 

Problem - Most people priced out of AI tech to support sight loss.

Millions of people live with sight loss, yet everyday tasks such as understanding surroundings, reading visual information, and navigating unfamiliar environments remain challenging.

Existing solutions can be expensive, limited in capability, or not designed around real user needs. Many tools are built without sufficient involvement from blind users themselves.

Solution - An inexpensive headset + app for people who cannot afford a headset.

We are taking a research-first approach:

Building a smartphone-based solution for immediate accessibility. Using AI to convert visual information into clear, natural audio. Designing features alongside blind users and charities. As well as Prioritising affordability, simplicity, and trust

The app is being built with feature decisions guided by real-world feedback rather than assumptions. It later will be paired with the headset providing a more refined user experience with daily use in mind. 

Status - Pre-seed. 

Company is incorporated in the uk with 2 founders. CEO and CTO. The app is developed and ready for testing with blind users on android. We have a live website https://www.seeforme.uk/
